5 Senses Friday - 3/3/23 Hello March!




I love living in a place that experiences all four seasons – the change that happens four times a year always gives me something to look forward to! But of all the seasons, the coming of Spring brings the most anticipation. There is something always so refreshing about nature turning bright and green, warmer weather, and longer days!


This year is no different, and I have been really enjoying the winter thaw and the sunny days (in between the cold, rainy, snowy days… hello Midwest spring). I thought it would be fun to put together some ways that I have been welcoming an early spring!

It's officially March! After coming across this article, I loved the idea of creating a Spring Bucket List! We worked together as a family to create our own list using a lot of the ideas in this article!! Take advantage of the warm weather and get outdoors or stick to the spring vibes even when it’s raining and do some of these fun indoor spring activities.

My daughters love making smoothie bowls! Aside from being packed full of delicious and healthy ingredients, smoothie bowls are the perfect compromise for breakfast or snack lovers who prefer to eat their smoothies with a spoon. They’re also a great way to sneak in hidden veggies and the perfect for delicious toppings like granola, almonds, chia seeds or nut butter.



 


In Michigan we still have our fingers crossed when we say “spring is in the air”....but it wont be long and I'm filled with anticipation for all the amazing smells that come with the changing of the season.
